Who the Workstation Is For
The Workstation is aimed at teams that have outgrown an 8GB edge device and can name the workload that needs more memory. Examples include testing larger local models, keeping several models resident, running multi-agent development environments, building private retrieval systems over company documents, and evaluating AI workflows before deployment.
It is not automatically the right choice for every ClawBox customer. The standard Jetson Orin Nano system remains the more efficient option for messaging, browser workflows, schedules, local voice, and smaller local models. Buying 128GB of unified memory only makes sense when model size, concurrency, or development work can use it.
Local-First, Not Isolated
Owning the workstation gives your team a local place to run models, store project data, and control the agent runtime. That does not mean every workflow must be offline. Web research, email, collaboration tools, remote access, and optional cloud models still create external data flows. Administrators should document those integrations, apply least-privilege access, and keep human approval for consequential actions.
Plan the Deployment Before the Purchase
Start with three questions:
- Which models and context sizes must run locally?
- How many people or agents need concurrent access?
- Which company systems will the agents be allowed to read or change?
